Ὁ Χριστὸς ὅμως, μὲ τὴν Ἀνάστασή Του, «τροποποίησε» τὸν θάνατο σὲ Ζωὴ Αἰώνια. Ποιά διατριβή σας μπορεῖ νὰ ἐξηγήσει τὸ Ἄφθαρτο Σῶμα;
Ὁ Σωκράτης ἔδειξε τὸν δρόμο, ὁ Θωμᾶς ἄγγιξε τὸν Προορισμό, καὶ ὁ Ἅγιος Γρηγόριος ὁ Παλαμᾶς μας ἀποκάλυψε το Φῶς. Ἐσεῖς, τί ἀκριβῶς καταφέρατε;
The Bankruptcy of the Science of “Slaves” and the Eternal Energy of the Logos
To you, the professors of Universities and the researchers of matter, who take pride in your “discoveries”:
You have succeeded in describing the shell, but you have lost the essence. You are trying to drain the Atlantic with the spoon of your logic, believing you can exhaust the infinite. This detachment of yours from the Source is your very problem; the further you distance yourselves, the more you are darkened. Behold the nakedness of your intellect before the Light:
1. The “Discovery” of the Big Bang vs. “My Father is Working”
Science says: “We found the beginning of time and space from nothing.”
The Delusion: You think that because you described an explosion, you became partakers in Creation.
The Truth: Christ answers you: “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.” Creation is not an event that “happened” and ended. It is an everlasting energy. If the Father were to stop “working” for even a tenth of a second, your universe would vanish. You study the smoke; the Saints know the Fire.
2. The “Discovery” of the Genetic Code (DNA) vs. “In the Image and Likeness”
Science says: “We decoded the book of life.”
The Delusion: You read the letters, but you did not understand the meaning.
The Truth: St. Gregory Palamas explains that man is “the only animal with sense and intellect,” fashioned for theosis (deification). You see chemical compounds—the “Lego” of decay—while St. Gregory Palamas sees the destiny of man to become God by Grace. What did you achieve with DNA? You slightly modified decay. Christ, however, through His Resurrection, “modified” death into Eternal Life. Which of your dissertations can explain the Incorruptible Body?
3. The “Discovery” of Quantum Physics vs. The Uncreated Energies
Science says: “We discovered that matter is energy and light.”
The Delusion: You reached the gate and think you entered the palace.
The Truth: St. Gregory Palamas, centuries ago, distinguished the Essence from the Energies. You see the created light that curves; he sees the Uncreated Light that transforms. As he says:
“There are works of God, which He neither began to perform, nor ceased from performing.”
These are the Uncreated Energies that govern all things. You pierce the Atlantic with your theories, but the Saint swims within the Ocean of Divinity.
4. Apostle Paul’s Answer to the Wisdom of “Slaves”
You, the so-called wise, cut yourselves off from knowledge because you refuse to become “friends.” Apostle Paul, the all-wise former persecutor, shatters your pedestals:
“For God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise.”
Your science is “foolish” because it tries to explain the Miracle with rules. It is like trying to measure love with a ruler. What have you achieved then? Nothing. You merely described the ship while it is sinking. Your science gives you the “how” to die with more comfort. St. Gregory and St. Paul give you the Person who abolished death.
5. The “Good Unbelief” and the End of Experiments
You, the people of laboratory proof, invoke Thomas as your patron. You think his demand for “the print of the nails” is the birth of rationalism. How deluded you are!
Thomas was not a cold researcher; he was a wounded friend who was absent from the Gathering (Synaxis). This distancing is your problem; the further you distance yourselves, the more you are darkened. The Lord “worked” upon Thomas’s unbelief to crush the science of slaves, for He knew your demonic deviation.
When Thomas touched His side, he did not perform an experiment; he took part in the renovation of the universe. His unbelief was the last fortress of human logic to fall, proving that the Resurrection is not a theory, but a body that can be touched. Thomas sought proof in order to conquer matter. And when he received it, he did not write a dissertation, but knelt and cried out: “My Lord and my God, glory to Thee!”
Epilogue: The Meeting of Socrates and Thomas on the Eighth Day
At the threshold of time and eternity, stand two figures who expose the nakedness of your so-called science:
Socrates: The man who solved the problem of death before the Resurrection even came. He understood that science dealing only with the “Lego” of daily life is for infants. He taught that true knowledge is the “study of death,” the preparation for the meeting with the Infinite.
Thomas: The Apostle who, with his “good unbelief,” sealed our hope. He became the witness of incorruptibility, proving that man is not a biological accident, but a god by grace.
The Conclusion
Listen to St. Gregory Palamas: The seventh day is the day of rest from the sensible. If you do not “stop” the arrogance of your logic, you will never see the Eighth Day.
Continue to drain the Atlantic with your spoons. Continue to count the stars, while the Father holds them in His palm eternally.
If you are Slaves, death will always be the unconquerable enemy you vainly try to delay.
If you become Friends, death is simply the door to the Eighth Day.
The choice is yours in full freedom. You can remain with the fear of the mortal scientist or find the peace of Thomas. Truth is not a discovery; it is the Person who stands among us and says:
“Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
Socrates showed the way, Thomas touched the Destination, and St. Gregory Palamas revealed the Light to us. You, what exactly did you achieve?
