​ Ἡ Κάθοδος τοῦ Πνεύματος σὲ ἕναν Κόσμο ποὺ Φλέγεται.
​The Descent of the Spirit upon a World on Fire
​Σὲ μιὰ ἐποχὴ ὅπου ἡ ἀνθρωπότητα συγκλονίζεται ἀπὸ πολεμικὲς ἀναφλέξεις, παγκόσμια ἀκαταστασία λαῶν καὶ πνευματικὸ ἀποπροσανατολισμό, ἡ ἐπερχόμενη Μεγάλη Ἑορτὴ τῆς Πεντηκοστῆς καὶ τοῦ Ἁγίου Πνεύματος προβάλλει ὡς ἡ μόνη ἀληθινὴ ὄαση. Σήμερα, ποὺ ἔχει ψυγεῖ ἡ ἀγάπη τῶν πολλῶν, ποὺ οἱ οἰκογένειες εἶναι διαλυμένες, τὰ παιδιὰ ὁδηγοῦνται στὴν ἀπελπισία καὶ στὶς αὐτοκτονίες, καὶ οἱ πιστοὶ δέχονται τρομακτικὲς πιέσεις ἀπὸ τὰ κράτη τους μὲ τὴν ἐπιβολὴ τῆς woke agenda καὶ κάθε δαιμονικῆς προσπάθειας γιὰ πλήρη καταστροφή, ὁ ἄνθρωπος αἰσθάνεται ἕνα βάρος ἕως θανάτου.
​Μέσα σὲ αὐτὴ τὴν ἀποπνικτικὴ πραγματικότητα, ἡ Ἁγία Ἱερὰ Μονὴ τῆς Ἁγίας Τριάδος ἑτοιμάζεται νὰ δεχθεῖ, κατὰ τὴν πενθήμερη αὐτὴ ἑορταστικὴ περίοδο, πλῆθος λαοῦ. Κλῆρος καὶ λαός, Ἀρχιερεῖς, Ἱερεῖς, διάκονοι, Μοναχοὶ καὶ Μοναχές, προσέρχονται μὲ ἕνα κοινὸ αἴτημα: τὴν ἀνάπαυση τῆς ψυχῆς καὶ τὴν εὕρεση τῆς θείας ἐλπίδος.
Τὴν ἀπάντηση καὶ τὴν ὁδὸ τῆς σωτηρίας μας τὴν φανερώνει αὐθεντικὰ τὸ γνήσιο βίωμα ἑνὸς συγχρόνου οἰκουμενικοῦ διδασκάλου τῆς χάριτος, τοῦ Ἁγίου Σιλουανοῦ τοῦ Ἀθωνίτου.
​Τὸ Βίωμα τοῦ Ἁγίου Σιλουανοῦ: Ἡ Ὑπακοὴ καὶ ἡ Φώτιση τοῦ Ἁγίου Πνεύματος.
​Ὁ Ἅγιος Σιλουανός, ζώντας μέσα στὸ φῶς τοῦ Παναγίου Πνεύματος, μᾶς κληροδότησε μιὰ συγκλονιστικὴ ἀλήθεια γιὰ τὴν αἰτία τῶν δεινῶν μας:
​«Ὅλες οἱ συμφορὲς ἔρχονται σὲ μᾶς γιατί δὲν ρωτᾶμε τοὺς πνευματικοὺς πατέρες, οἱ ὁποῖοι εἶναι ταγμένοι νὰ μᾶς καθοδηγοῦν.
Καὶ στοὺς ἱεράρχες καὶ πνευματικοὺς γιατί δὲν ρωτοῦν τὸν Κύριον πῶς πρέπει νὰ ἐνεργήσουν.
Ἂν ὁ Ἀδὰμ ρωτοῦσε τὸν Κύριο πρὶν γευτεῖ τὸν καρπὸ ὅταν ἡ Εὔα τοῦ ἔδινε τὸ μῆλο τότε ὁ Κύριος θὰ τὸν φώτιζε καὶ ὁ Ἀδὰμ δὲν θὰ ἀμάρτανε.
​Θὰ τὸ πῶ καὶ γιά τὸν ἐαυτό μου ὅλα τὰ ἀμαρτήματα μου καὶ τὰ λάθη μου ἔγιναν γιατί τὴν ὥρα τοῦ πειρασμοῦ καὶ τῆς ἀνάγκης δὲν ἐπικαλέστηκα τὸν Κύριο τώρα ὅμως ἔμαθα νὰ ἱκετεύω τὴν ἀγαθότητα τοῦ Θεοῦ καί ὁ Κύριος μὲ τὶς εὐχὲς τοῦ πνευματικοῦ μὲ φυλάει.
​Τὸ ἴδιο καὶ οἱ Ἀρχιερεῖς ἄν καὶ ἔχουν τὸ δῶρο τοῦ Ἁγίου Πνεύματος, ὅμως δὲν ἐννοοῦν σωστὰ τὰ πάντα καὶ γι’ αὐτὸ ὀφείλουν τὴν ὥρα τῆς ἀνάγκης νὰ ζητήσουν τὴν φώτιση ἀπὸ τὸν Κύριο. Αὐτοὶ ὅμως ἀκολουθοῦν τὴν δική τους γνώμη καὶ ἔτσι προσβάλλουν τὴν εὐσπλαχνία τοῦ Θεοῦ καὶ σκορπίζουν σύγχυση.
​Ὁ Ὅσιος Σεραφεὶμ τοῦ Σαρὼφ ἔλεγε ὅτι ὅταν μιλοῦσε ἀπὸ τὸν Νοῦν του συνέβαιναν σφάλματα καὶ τὰ σφάλματα μπορεῖ νὰ εἶναι ἀσήμαντα, μπορεῖ ὅμως νὰ εἶναι καὶ σοβαρά. Ἔτσι ὅλοι μας πρέπει νὰ μάθουμε τὸν δρόμο ποὺ ὁδηγεῖ στὴν ἐπίγνωση τοῦ θελήματος τοῦ Θεοῦ. Ἄν ὅμως δὲν κοπιάσουμε γιὰ νὰ τὸ μάθουμε αὐτὸ, δὲν θὰ γνωρίσουμε ποτὲ αὐτὸν τὸν δρόμο.
​Ὁ Κύριος εἶπε ἐπικάλεσε με ἐν ἡμέρα θλίψεως καὶ ἐξελοῦμαι σε καὶ δοξάσεις με. Ὁ Κύριος φωτίζει μὲ τὸ Ἅγιον Πνεῦμα τὸν ἄνθρωπο καὶ χωρὶς τὸ Ἅγιον Πνεῦμα κανεὶς δὲν μπορεῖ νὰ καταλάβει σωστὰ τίποτε. Πρὶν ἀπὸ τὴν ἔλευση τοῦ Ἁγίου Πνεύματος καὶ οἱ Ἀπόστολοι οὔτε ἰσχυροὶ οὔτε σοφοὶ ἦταν καὶ γι’ αὐτὸ ὁ Κύριος τοὺς ἔλεγε ἕως πότε ἀνέξομαι ὑμῶν;»
​Τὸ Μυστήριο τῆς Ἱερωσύνης καὶ ἡ Δόξα τῆς Χάριτος
​«Ὁ Κύριος ἔδωσε στὴν Ἁγία ἐκκλησία ποιμένες καὶ αὐτοὶ διακονοῦν κατὰ τὸ ὑπόδειγμα τοῦ Χριστοῦ καὶ μὲ τὸ Ἅγιον πνεῦμα ἔχουν τὴν ἐξουσία νὰ συγχωροῦν τὶς ἀμαρτίες.
​Ἐσὺ ἴσως σκέφτεσαι πῶς μπορεῖ ὁ τάδε ἐπίσκοπος ἢ πνευματικὸς ἢ ἱερέας νὰ ἔχει Ἅγιον Πνεῦμα ἀφοῦ τοῦ ἀρέσει νὰ τρώει καὶ ἔχει κι ἄλλες ἀδυναμίες;
Ἐγὼ ὅμως θὰ σοῦ πῶ, αὐτὸ εἶναι δυνατὸν ἂν αὐτὸς δὲν δέχεται τοὺς κακοὺς λογισμούς, ἔτσι κι ἂν ἔχει κάποιο ἐλάττωμα αὐτὸ δὲν παρεμποδίζει τὴν χάρι νὰ ζῇ στὴν ψυχή του, ὅπως τὸ πράσινο δένδρο κι ἂν ἔχει μερικά ξερὰ κλαδιά αὐτὸ δὲν τὸ ἐμποδίζει νὰ καρποφορῇ ἢ ὅπως τὰ ζιζάνια ποὺ δὲν ἐμποδίζουν νὰ βλαστάνῃ τὸ σιτάρι.
​Ἕναν ἑσπερινὸ τῆς μεγάλης σαρακοστῆς στὸ παλαιὸ ὀρεινὸ Ρωσικὸ εἶδε ἕνας μοναχὸς τὸν πνευματικὸ μοναχὸ πατέρα Ἀβράμιο κατ’ εἰκόνα Χριστοῦ, ὁ γέροντας πνευματικὸς καθόταν μὲ τὸ πετραχείλι του στὸ ἐξομολογητήριο καὶ ἐξομολογοῦσε, ὅταν μπῆκε ἐκεῖνος ὁ μοναχὸς ἀντίκρυσε τὸν πνευματικὸ κατάλευκο γέροντα καὶ εἶδε τὸ πρόσωπο του νεανικὸ σὰν πρόσωπο παιδιοῦ καὶ ἔλαμπρε ὁλόκληρος καὶ ἦταν ὅμοιος μὲ τὸν Χριστό. Τότε κατάλαβε ὁ μοναχὸς ἐκεῖνος ὅτι ὁ Πνευματικὸς τελεῖ τὸ μυστήριον ἐν Πνεύματι Ἁγίῳ καὶ διὰ Πνεύματος Ἁγίου συγχωροῦνται οἱ ἀμαρτίες σὲ ὅποιον μετανοεῖ.
​Ἄν ἔβλεπαν οἱ ἄνθρωποι σὲ ποια δόξα λειτουργεῖ ὁ Ἱερέας θὰ ἔπεφταν καταγῆς ἀπὸ τὸ ὅραμα αὐτὸ καὶ ἂν ὁ ἴδιος ὁ Ἱερέας ἔβλεπε τὸν ἑαυτό του σὲ ποιὰ οὐράνια δόξα βρίσκεται κατὰ τὴν τέλεση τοῦ λειτουργήματός του τότε θὰ γινόταν μεγάλος ἀσκητὴς καὶ θὰ ἀγωνιζόταν νὰ μὴν θλίψῃ μὲ τίποτε τὴν χάρι τοῦ Ἁγίου Πνεύματος ποὺ ζεῖ μέσα του.
​Γράφω αὐτὲς τὶς γραμμὲς καὶ τὸ Πνεῦμα μου χαίρεται γιατί οἱ ποιμένες μας εἶναι ὅμοιοι μὲ τὸν Κύριο Ἰησοῦ Χριστό, ἀλλά καὶ ἐμεῖς τὰ πρόβατα παρ’ ὅλο ποὺ ἔχουμε μικρὴ χάρι ἐν τούτοις εἴμαστε ὡς ἕνα σημεῖο ὅμοιοι μὲ τὸν Κύριο.
Οἱ ἄνθρωποι δὲν γνωρίζουν αὐτὸ τὸ μυστήριον ἀλλὰ ὁ Ἅγιος Ἰωάννης ὁ Θεολόγος μίλησε καθαρὰ γι’ αὐτό, "ὅμοιοι αὐτῷ ἐσόμεθα" καὶ αὐτὸ ὄχι μετὰ τὸν θάνατο ἀλλὰ καὶ τώρα γιατί ὁ ἐλεήμων Κύριος ἔδωσε στὴν Γῆ τὸ Ἅγιον Πνεῦμα καὶ τὸ Ἅγιον Πνεῦμα ζεῖ στὴν ὀρθόδοξη ἐκκλησία μας.
​Αὐτὸ ζεῖ στὶς ψυχὲς τῶν ἀμέμπτων ποιμένων, αὐτὸ ζεῖ στὶς καρδιὲς τῶν πιστῶν, αὐτὸ μαθαίνει στὴν ψυχὴ τὴν ἄσκηση, αὐτὸ δίνει τὴν δύναμη γιὰ τὴν τήρηση τῶν ἐντολῶν τοῦ Κυρίου, αὐτὸ μᾶς ὁδηγεῖ εἰς πᾶσαν τὴν ἀλήθειαν, αὐτὸ λάμπρυνε τόσο τὸν ἄνθρωπο ὥστε ἔγινε ὅμοιος μὲ τὸν Κύριο.
​Πρέπει νὰ θυμόμαστε πάντοτε ὅτι ὁ Πνευματικὸς τελεῖ τὸ λειτούργημα του μὲ τὸ Ἅγιον Πνεῦμα καὶ γι’ αὐτὸ ὀφείλουμε νὰ τὸν σεβόμαστε.
​Πιστεύετε ἀδελφοὶ ὅτι ἂν τύχει καὶ πεθάνει κάποιος ἐνώπιον τοῦ Πνευματικοῦ καὶ τοῦ πεῖ "Ἅγιε Πάτερ εὐλόγησε με νὰ δῶ τὸν Κύριο στὴν Βασιλεία τῶν οὐρανῶν" καὶ τοῦ ἀπαντήσει ὁ Πνευματικός "πήγαινε τέκνο μου καὶ δὲς τὸν Κύριο",
​ΘΑ ΓΙΝΕΙ ΟΤΙ ΤΟΥ ΔΩΣΕΙ ΜΕ ΤΗΝ ΕΥΛΟΓΙΑ ΤΟΥ Ο ΠΝΕΥΜΑΤΙΚΟΣ
​ΓΙΑΤΙ ΤΟ ΑΓΙΟΝ ΠΝΕΥΜΑ ΕΙΝΑΙ ΤΟ ΙΔΙΟ ΚΑΙ ΣΤΟΝ ΟΥΡΑΝΟ ΚΑΙ ΣΤΗΝ ΓΗ.»
​«Ὅμοιοι Αὐτῷ Ἐσόμεθα» – Ἐλπίδα, Δύναμη καὶ Σιγουριὰ
​Καθὼς ἡ Ἁγία Ἱερὰ Μονὴ τῆς Ἁγίας Τριάδος ἑτοιμάζεται νὰ ὑποδεχθεῖ τὸ μεγάλο αὐτὸ πλῆθος τῶν εὐλαβῶν προσκυνητῶν, τὸ μήνυμα τοῦ Ἁγίου Σιλουανοῦ ἀντηχεῖ ὡς σάλπισμα νίκης, δυνάμεως καὶ ἀκλόνητης σιγουριᾶς.
​Δὲν εἴμαστε ὀρφανοὶ μέσα στὴν καταιγίδα τοῦ κόσμου. Ὁ ἐλεήμων Κύριος δὲν ἐγκατέλειψε τὸ πλάσμα Του· ἔδωσε στὴν Γῆ τὸ Ἅγιον Πνεῦμα, καὶ Αὐτὸ ζεῖ, εὐεργετεῖ καὶ ἀναπνέει ἀδιάκοπα μέσα στὴν Ὀρθόδοξη Ἐκκλησία μας. Εἶναι Αὐτὸ ποὺ κρατᾷ ὄρθιο τὸν πιστὸ ἀπέναντι σὲ κάθε πνευματικὴ ἀποδόμηση, ποὺ μεταμορφώνει τὴν ψυχὴ καὶ τὴν λαμπρύνει, ὥστε ὁ ἄνθρωπος νὰ γίνεται ὅμοιος μὲ τὸν Κύριο, ὄχι μόνον μετὰ θάνατον, ἀλλὰ ἀπὸ αὐτὴ κιόλας τὴν ἐπίγειο ζωή.
​Μετὰ ἀπὸ αὐτὴ τὴν τρομακτικὴ πίεση καὶ τὸ βάρος τοῦ αἰῶνος τούτου, ἂς προσέλθουμε ὅλοι —ἀπὸ τοὺς Ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ τὸν ἱερὸ κλῆρο μέχρι τὸν τελευταῖο προσκυνητή— μὲ ἀπόλυτη ἐμπιστοσύνη στὴν Ἁγία Ἐκκλησία καὶ στοὺς πνευματικούς μας πατέρες. Ἂς κλίνουμε τὸ γόνυ τῆς καρδίας μας κατὰ τὴν Ἁγία Ἡμέρα τῆς Πεντηκοστῆς, ζητώντας τὸ ἔλεος τοῦ Παρακλήτου.
Ἡ χάρις τοῦ Παναγίου Πνεύματος εἶναι ἐδῶ, ζωντανὴ καὶ παντοδύναμη, ἕτοιμη νὰ θεραπεύσει τὰ τραύματα, νὰ ἀναστήσει τὶς διαλυμένες ψυχὲς καὶ νὰ χαρίσει τὴν αἰώνια ἐλπίδα καὶ ἀγάπη.

​The Descent of the Spirit upon a World on Fire
​In an era when humanity is shaken by military flare-ups, global unrest among nations, and spiritual disorientation, the upcoming Great Feast of Pentecost and the Holy Spirit emerges as the only true oasis. Today, when "the love of many has grown cold," when families are broken, children are led to despair and suicide, and the faithful face terrifying pressures from their states through the imposition of the woke agenda and every demonic effort toward complete destruction, man feels a weight even unto death.
​Amidst this suffocating reality, the Holy Monastery of the Holy Trinity prepares to receive, during this five-day festive period. Clergy and laity, Archbishops, Priests, deacons, Monks, and Nuns, approach with a common request: the rest of the soul and the discovery of divine hope. The answer and the path to our salvation are authentically revealed to us by the genuine experience of a modern ecumenical teacher of grace, Saint Silouan the Athonite.
​The Experience of Saint Silouan: Obedience and the Illumination of the Holy Spirit
​Saint Silouan, living within the light of the All-Holy Spirit, bequeathed to us a staggering truth regarding the cause of our misfortunes:
​"All misfortunes come upon us because we do not ask the spiritual fathers, who are appointed to guide us. And because hierarchs and spiritual fathers do not ask the Lord how they should act. If Adam had asked the Lord before tasting the fruit when Eve gave him the apple, then the Lord would have illumined him and Adam would not have sinned.
​I will say it for myself as well: all my sins and my mistakes happened because at the hour of temptation and need I did not call upon the Lord; but now I have learned to supplicate the goodness of God, and the Lord, through the prayers of my spiritual father, protects me.
​The same applies to the Archbishops; even though they have the gift of the Holy Spirit, yet they do not understand everything correctly, and therefore they ought, at the hour of need, to seek illumination from the Lord. They, however, follow their own opinion, and thus they offend the mercy of God and scatter confusion.
​Venerable Seraphim of Sarov used to say that when he spoke from his own mind, errors occurred, and the errors could be insignificant, but they could also be serious. Thus, all of us must learn the path that leads to the knowledge of the will of God. If, however, we do not labor to learn this, we will never know this path.
​The Lord said: 'Call upon Me in the day of affliction, and I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify Me.' The Lord illumines man with the Holy Spirit, and without the Holy Spirit, no one can understand anything correctly. Before the coming of the Holy Spirit, even the Apostles were neither strong nor wise, and therefore the Lord said to them: 'How long shall I bear with you?'"
​The Mystery of the Priesthood and the Glory of Grace
​"The Lord gave pastors to the Holy Church, and they minister according to the example of Christ, and with the Holy Spirit, they have the authority to forgive sins.
​You might think: how can such an bishop or spiritual father or priest have the Holy Spirit, since he likes to eat and has other weaknesses? But I will tell you, this is possible if he does not accept evil thoughts; thus, even if he has some flaw, this does not prevent grace from living in his soul, just as a green tree, even if it has some dry branches, this does not prevent it from bearing fruit, or like the weeds that do not prevent the wheat from sprouting.
​One evening of Great Lent at the Old Russikon, a monk saw the spiritual monk, Father Avramios, in the image of Christ. The elder spiritual father was sitting with his epitrachelion (stole) at the confessional, hearing confessions. When that monk entered, he beheld the spiritual, white-haired elder, and he saw his face youthful like the face of a child, and he was shining all over and was like unto Christ. Then that monk understood that the Spiritual Father performs the sacrament in the Holy Spirit, and through the Holy Spirit sins are forgiven to whoever repents.
​If people saw in what glory the Priest celebrates, they would fall to the ground from this vision; and if the Priest himself saw himself in what heavenly glory he finds himself during the performance of his ministry, then he would become a great ascetic and would strive not to grieve in any way the grace of the Holy Spirit that lives within him.
​I write these lines and my spirit rejoices because our pastors are like unto the Lord Jesus Christ, but we too, the sheep, although we have small grace, nevertheless are to some extent like unto the Lord.
People do not know this mystery, but saint John the Theologian spoke clearly about it: 'we shall be like Him'; and this not after death, but even now, because the merciful Lord gave to the Earth the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit lives in our Orthodox Church.
​It lives in the souls of blameless pastors,
it lives in the hearts of the faithful,
it teaches the soul asceticism, it gives
the strength for the keeping of the commandments of the Lord, it guides us into all truth, it brightened man so much that he became like unto the Lord.
​We must always remember that the Spiritual Father performs his ministry with the Holy Spirit, and therefore we owe him respect.
​Believe, brethren, that if it happens that someone dies before the Spiritual Father and says to him, 'Holy Father, bless me to see the Lord in the Kingdom of Heaven,' and the Spiritual Father answers him,
'Go, my child, and see the Lord,'
​IT WILL BE DONE WHAT THE SPIRITUAL FATHER GIVES HIM WITH HIS BLESSING
​BECAUSE THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE SAME BOTH IN HEAVEN AND ON EARTH."
​"We Shall Be Like Him" – Hope, Strength, and Assurance
​As the Holy Monastery of the Holy Trinity prepares to welcome this great multitude of devout pilgrims, the message of Saint Silouan resounds as a trumpet of victory, strength, and unshakeable assurance.
​We are not orphans in the storm of the world. The merciful Lord did not abandon His creation; He gave the Holy Spirit to the Earth, and It lives, acts, and breathes unceasingly within our Orthodox Church.
It is This which keeps the believer standing against every spiritual deconstruction, which transforms the soul and brightens it, so that man becomes like unto the Lord, not only after death but from this very earthly life.
​After this terrifying pressure and the weight of this age, let us all approach—from the Archbishops and the holy clergy to the last pilgrim—with absolute trust in the Holy Church and in our spiritual fathers.
Let us bow the knee of our heart on the Holy Day of Pentecost, seeking the mercy of the Comforter. The grace of the All-Holy Spirit is here, living and all-powerful, ready to heal wounds, to resurrect broken souls, and to grant eternal hope and love.
