Ἄν συγχωρήσῃς λίγα, λίγα θὰ σοῦ συγχωρηθοῦν.
Ἄν συγχωρήσῃς πολλά, θὰ σοῦ συγχωρηθοῦν πολλά.
Ὅταν συγχωρεῖς, κερδίζεις περισσότερα ἀπὸ ἐκεῖνα ποὺ δίδεις.
Ἄφες ἡμῖν τὰ ὀφειλήματα ἡμῶν, ὡς καὶ ἡμεῖς ἀφίεμεν τοῖς ὀφειλέταις ἡμῶν.
Βλέπεις; Δὲν ὑπάρχει ἄλλη ὁδὸς πρὸς τὸν οὐρανὸν παρὰ μόνον ἡ ἀγάπη καὶ ἡ καταλλαγὴ πρὸς τὸν ἀδελφόν.»
«Ἀδελφοί μου, εἰσερχόμενοι εἰς τὸ στάδιον τῆς Μεγάλης Τεσσαρακοστῆς, ἂς ξεκλειδώσωμεν τὴν θύραν τῆς Βασιλείας μὲ τὸ κλειδὶ τῆς συγχωρήσεως.
Ὅπως διδάσκει ὁ Ἱερὸς Χρυσόστομος, ἡ συγχώρησις ξημέρωσε ἀπὸ τὸν Τάφον τοῦ Χριστοῦ καὶ εἶναι ἡ μόνη δύναμις ποὺ νικᾷ τὴν φθορὰν.
Εἴθε ὁ Κύριος νὰ μᾶς ἀξιώσῃ νὰ πορευθῶμεν ἐν εἰρήνῃ καὶ ἀγάπῃ.»

The Key of Forgiveness
"My brother, God Himself has made you the judge of the forgiveness of your own sins.
If you forgive little, little will be forgiven to you.
If you forgive much, much will be forgiven to you.
When you forgive, you receive more than you give.
'And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.'
Do you see? There is no other way to heaven except through love and reconciliation with your brother."
Entering the Great Lent
"My brothers, as we enter the stadium of Great Lent, let us unlock the door of the Kingdom with the key of forgiveness.
As Saint John Chrysostom teaches, forgiveness dawned from the Tomb of Christ and is the only power that conquers decay.
May the Lord grant us the grace to journey in peace and love."
